Background
In Uganda, only 0.5% of rural girls receive post-secondary education due to chronic poverty cultural beliefs, the fact that scholars are too far away, lack of sanitary support, domestic violence and HIV.
The mission to Uganda was a collaboration with the local NGO, Pearl Community Empowerment Foundation.
We helped the women and the young girls learn how to express themselves freely and materialise the visions of their dreams on paper.
For the young girls, Arts Therapy was likely their first opportunity to express themselves freely and materialize the visions of their dreams on paper.
